Mesa - Minneapolis, MN
Located in the center of Dinkytown USA, Mesa is a stoner college kid’s dream. Not only is it on the same block as Hideaway (for all your glass needs), it’s also got creative pizza concoctions that seem to be devised mere moments after inhaling. My lunch today is only halfway a good barometer of this: witness the spicy chicken quesedilla slice (which I drench in chicken wing sauce). From the impish decor, to the irony-obsessed sorta-funny employees that front the place (I’m not talking about the Mexicans that actually make the pizzas - they are very polite), this place is co-ed to the hilt. But I can dig, and today I did partake. Aside from the quesedilla slice (not very spicy), they also passed me a plain slice that coulda been baked a little longer… It’s cool, tho.
