Coastal, Panacea, Florida
After a lovely Saturday trip to the beach, you’ve gotta have some seafood. Unfortunately for us, we were trying to eat lunch at around 3 PM, which is a no go in the panhandle of Florida. We had to go farther inland and eat at Coastal, which is known for deeply frying anything and everything into oblivion. Sometimes the results are good and other times not so good. This is called a shrimp burger. It’s basically a fried shrimp po’ boy on a toasted, buttered and grilled hamburger bun. It ruled. So did the hush puppies. The fries, not so much. They were bland and gross. After we ordered our food, the waitress nonchalantly asked, “Y’all want the crackers and butter?”. My reply, of course, was “YES!”. Crackers and butter. I love America.
